A zipline, rock climbing wall, scuba pool, cultural performances, and international cooking demonstrations are just a few of the activities offered at the 2012 DC Travel & Adventure Show.
The show, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in downtown Washington, D.C,. begins tomorrow, Saturday, March 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and continues on Sunday, March 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Dozens of exhibitors from across the U.S. and around the world, including Costa Rica, India, and Japan, will be onhand to promote their services and answer questions. In addition, travel experts, such as Travel Channel host Samantha Brown and guidebook author Pauline Frommer, will be speaking.

According to findings from the 16th Annual LGBT Tourism Survey, conducted by gay travel specialists Community Marketing, Inc., adventure related travel opportunities, such as hiking, kayaking, and cycling, are top motivators for gay travelers choosing one destination over another.
