A lifelong swimmer, an avid reader and a political junkie are just some of the traits that describe Andres. Born in the District but raised in Atlanta, the 22-year-old American University law student is constantly juggling his time between school and activities like recreational kickball. But he's also starting to explore and enjoy the variety of life in D.C., from hanging out on U Street to running on the Mall. When he has a night to spare, you might catch him at Nellie's, Marvin DC or JR.'s.

What's in your nightstand drawer?
A bunch of outlines from last year – I have lots of papers in there – and a cracked iPhone 3.

Where do you keep the condoms and lube?
They're in the house.

What are your television favorites?
30 Rock, even though it's not on anymore. I also like Scandal.

What was your favorite cartoon when you were a kid?
Probably The Wild Thornberrys. It was this obscure Nickelodeon show about this family that lived in Africa. I thought their life was so exciting and exotic.

Who's your greatest influence?
My dad. He's given me a lot of guidance. I look up to him. He came to the United States from Panama at 16, and was able to work his way through college and law school. I think that's pretty impressive.

What's your greatest fear?
Dying alone.

Pick three people, living or dead, who you think would make the most fascinating dinner guests imaginable.
Michelle Obama, Anderson Cooper and Judy Smith, an A.U. alumni who Scandal is based off of.

What would you serve?
My favorite food is bagels, cream cheese and lox, so probably that.

How would you describe your dream guy?
Driven, hilarious, charismatic, with deep eyes and a defined jaw line. I'd want someone who can challenge me, but doesn't require a lot of excessive attention.

Passionate and sensual.

Who should star in a movie about your life?
Jamie Foxx.

Who was your first celebrity crush?
Channing Tatum.

Who gets on your nerves?
Lazy people.

If your home was burning, what's the first thing you'd grab while leaving?
A bottle of vodka. If you're house is burning, it's a new beginning, and those aren't necessarily so bad.

Bad teeth.

Right now I'm listening to a lot of Mac Miller.

I'll leave that up to your imagination.

All of the above.

What's the most you'll spend on a haircut?
I don't spend money on haircuts. I have a friend come over and buzz my head every couple of weeks.

What about on shoes?
I guess it depends on the type of shoe I'm shopping for. Maybe $300?

What's your favorite food to splurge with?
Buffalo anything.

What's your favorite season?
Summer. It's probably the most carefree time of the year. I always look forward to the next one starting in September.

What kind of plant would you be?
The dogwood tree.

What kind of car would you be?
A Porsche 944. I'd probably end up buying one as a collector's item later on in life.

My parents. Without their support, I wouldn't have accomplished what I have thus far.

What's something you want more of?
Time.

State your life philosophy in 10 words or less.
