Washington D.C.-based rapper Wale, who made headlines last week after canceling his performance at DC Black Pride's main event on May 30, appeared at Sunday's event to make amends with the LGBT community by way of a public apology. He then performed a few of his songs as a "guest" artist.
"For anybody to think that my music is prejudice against any orientation...or lifestyle," he told Metro Weekly's Ebone Bell, "[is] absurd to me and I just had to clear it up."
