Friday, Jan. 12

Registration opens at 2 p.m. at the host hotel, the Washington Plaza Hotel. 10 Thomas Circle NW.
The Leather Exhibit Hall, free and open to the public (18 and older), opens at 4 p.m. at the Washington Plaza Hotel. The exhibit, which offers more than two dozen fetish/leather vendors, closes tonight at 10 p.m.
The ”Meet the MEAT Tour,” a chance for Mr. MAL contestants to introduce themselves to MAL Weekend attendees, starts at 10 p.m., with stops at the D.C. Eagle, the Green Lantern and Titan’s Ramrod. Admission to all venues is free.
Saturday, Jan. 13
Registration reopens at the Washington Plaza Hotel at 10 a.m. Weekend registration closes at 5 p.m.
Mr. Mid-Atlantic Leather titleholders of years past gather to present the Former Mr. MAL Fundraiser for MAL 2007 Travel Fund at the Washington Plaza Hotel. This rise-and-shine event runs from 9:30 to 11 a.m., and is free and open to the public.
The Leather Exhibit Hall is open today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Those who have purchased the full MAL Weekend package are invited to gather at Almas Temple, 1315 K St. NW, for Leather Cocktails. This private event runs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Organizers of the ongoing Blowoff event hold a special MAL-affiliated Blowoff Dance at the 9:30 Club, 815 V St. NW. Separate $20 admission required (21 and older only). Doors open at 9:30 p.m. and close at 3 a.m.
Sunday, Jan. 14
Those who have purchased the full MAL Weekend package are invited to brunch at Almas Temple, from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
The Leather Exhibit Hall opens today at noon and closes at 6 p.m.
The Mr. Mid-Atlantic Leather Contest, the second-largest leather contest in the United States, kicks off at 1 p.m. at Almas Temple. The contest event runs to 5 p.m., including entertainment by Varla Jean Merman and the D.C. Cowboys. Admission is included in the full weekend package. Individual tickets may be purchased in advance for $30, or at the door (if available) for $40. Contest tickets include admission to the preceding brunch.
The final event of the MAL Weekend, REACTION Dance, is from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the 9:30 Club. Admission is included in the full weekend package. Individual tickets may be purchased in advance for $30, or at the door (if available) for $40.
