Can Conservatism Make Room for Gays? [video]

Andrew Sullivan, Maggie Gallagher and British MP Nick Herbert debate the role of gays in conservative politics at the Cato Institute

Cato Institute Executive Vice President David Boaz moderates a Feb. 17 forum, “Is There a Place for Gay People in Conservatism and Conservative Politics,” with Atlantic blogger Andrew Sullivan; National Organization for Marriage president Maggie Gallagher; and U.K. Shadow Secretary of State Nick Herbert, MP.

The forum set off a number of fireworks between anti-marriage equality activist Gallagher and Sullivan, especially over the impact of same-sex marriage laws and religious-based adoption services. Read more about the gay adoption discussion at MetroWeekly.com.
