Kirk: Absolutely, yeah.
US Representative Mark Kirk, a Republican from Illinois, who has been smacked around by accusations of being a closeted gay man by people on both sides of the political spectrum. Kirk has also been exposed as making false claims about his military service and an award he received. Kirk recently voted to against the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” but before that had a mostly favorable record on gay rights issues, and had been endorsed by HRC. (WGN)
