A protege of the legendary jazz master Dizzy Gillespie, Cuban-born Arturo Sandoval was granted political asylum in the U.S. 20 years ago. He’s revered as one of the world’s best jazz trumpeters and flugel horn players, as well as a renowned pianist and composer.
