New previews of Logo’s “The A-List” reveal more snippy, gay vanity [video]

New outtakes from the Logo TV Channel‘s upcoming show called “The A-List.” Much reaction to the show has been scowls, groans and eye rolling. So far, the “Rate this Video” feature on the channel’s website has public reaction ranging from 66% negative to 100% negative. Still, it could make for a fun, fascinating exploration of what some feel are walking stereotypes — a gay male version of the “Housewives” television series.

“Vanity is subjective. I have a healthy relationship with my appearance. I like to take care of myself because I’m not 21 anymore. So, I need to stay on top of things, or things start falling apart real fast…. I like to take care of myself. And I like to look attractive for my partner, and attractive for everyone. Yes, yes. I’m vain, I’m guilty. Isn’t everyone vain on some level?”

The perfectly buffed, polished and outfitted Mike Ruiz, showing off his skills as a photographer with singer Kelly Rowland, and also how often he walks around without a shirt. Ruiz is taking part in Logo’s new show “The A-List” He previously appeared on the same channel in “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” (Logo / The A-List Preview)

“Connections are made in like the first 20 seconds of meeting somebody. And in the first 5 seconds I was bored with Rodney…. I think Rodney is less of a model and more of a hot, arm candy, Brazillian homeless couch surfer…. I definitely think Reichen would be happier with me than with Rodney for sure.”

“The A-List” cast member Austin Armacost remarking on his dislike of fellow cast member Rodiney Santiago who is the boyfriend of Reichen Lehmkuhl. The “reality show” features several gay men in New York who specialize in … fabulousness, apparently. (Logo / The A-List Preview)

”I go to all the most amazing restaurants, clubs — like anywhere than anyone can’t get in, I’m there. I never have to wait behind a velvet rope. My name is on every VIP list in the city…. I’m obsessed with spray tanning. If I look in the mirror and I see a pale face, I instantly shriek…. Girls put on makeup, I put on my spray tan.”
