WSC Presents Shakespeare in Klingon

George Takei

George Takei joins the Washington Shakespeare Company in celebrating 20 years of cutting-edge classical theater by turning Shakespeare on its ear, literally. By Any Other Name: An Evening of Shakespeare in Klingon is a one-night-only production featuring memorable Shakespearean scenes presented in both English and Klingon, the made-up Star Trek language. And Takei isn’t the only thing gay about the production: a same-sex couple will perform as Beatrice and Benedick in a scene from Much Ado About Nothing. Saturday, Sept. 25, at 8 p.m. Rosslyn Spectrum Theater at Artisphere, 1611 North Kent St. Arlington. Tickets are $150, which also includes four WSC theater passes this season; or $250 for all that plus VIP reception after the performance. Call 703-418-4808 or visit washingtonshakepeare.org.
