Lesbian West Point cadet ready to reenlist if Congress repeals gay ban

Katherine Miller, a West Point cadet who dropped out of the Military Academy this past August because she did not want to continue her service and stay in the closet. She says her values and desire to be a ”leader of character” overrode pressures to conform to the silence-inducing military policy known as “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” Members of Congress are currently wrestling with a measure to repeal DADT before Republicans officially take control of the House of Representatives in January.
