He’d previously exchanged Tweets with Gaga in September. And in July he accepted Dan Choi’s West Point ring and promised to return it to him after Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell was repealed.

Today, Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and President Barack Obama were able to keep that promise. Obama signed a bill into law that effectively ends DADT. The President predicts that it will be a few months before full repeal will be instituted by the Pentagon, rather than years.
