Helen Hayes Award-winner Bernardine Mitchell (Mahalia) returns to MetroStage in His Eye is on the Sparrow. Larry Parr’s play with music tells the story of the legendary Ethel Waters, the blues and jazz vocalist and actress, only the second African American nominated for an Oscar. Runs through March 20.
