Gossip site TMZ caught hip-hop artist Chris Brown on video using “gay” in a negative context. Apparently, he thought that photographers had called a parking enforcement agent to come ticket his illegally parked car. Brown said:
“Y’all n**gas is weak. Did you all call them to try and film me? Y’all n**gas is gay.”
After the video was posted, Brown took to his Twitter account to say:
“I have total respect for Gay community and my intention was not to insult anyone in it.”
He wasn’t quite done with the subject, it seems, because he Tweeted some hours later:
“Latching on to my every word and criticizing makes you look thirsty. I can’t even piss without somebody complaining. Imagine how I feel…. A person should not have to apologize every second for living life!”
Brown joins other entertainers who recently apologized for their their insensitive gay comments — Cee Lo Green and Tracy Morgan.
