Dakshina Dance Company – Win Tickets!
Daniel Patrick Singh’s company presents the U.S. premiere of Anna Sokolow’s Homenaje a David Alfaro Siquieros, an interdisciplinary piece incorporating slides from Siqueiros’ paintings, poems by Pablo Neruda, Rafael Alberti, Paul Eluard and Rodolfo Mier Tonche, and a rich musical score by Silvestre Revueltas, Carlos Chavez and Rafael Elizondo. Also on the bill: Sokolow’s Frida Mixed repertory and Dakshina’s own signature work Vasanth. Friday, July 8, and Saturday, July 9, at 8 p.m. GALA Theatre at Tivoli Square, 3333 14th St. NW.
