Popular satirist Mo Rocca prefers gay men of Provincetown over The Pines
”I am single now…. Some of [the men] get run over by a cab leaping towards me…. I will say that I love Provincetown. I think that they’re smarter there…. I shouldn’t start a war between the two islands….”
”I’ve only been [to Fire Island] a couple of times, but my experience is that a lot of the guys there, they combine desperation with ruthlessness. And it’s just not a winning combination…. Whereas in P-Town I just feel like the guys are much more comfortable in their own skin…. you’re much more likely meet a really cute dentist from Minneapolis — and that, to me, they’re really hot!”
Mo Rocca, contributor to The Daily Show; Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me; The Tonight Show and numerous other media outlets. He appeared on The Six Pack, an online radio show and podcast that explores pop culture from a “modern gay perspective.” While the discussion began with Rocca’s new rimless glasses, the talk moved on to his comparison of men at two popular gay destinations. Rocca is 41 and a native of the DC area. Some online sources are describing Rocca’s podcast appearance as his “coming out,” though Michael Musto reported he had a boyfriend last year.
