Stories are swirling around a possible $20 million contribution by billionaire Sheldon Adelson to support Newt Gingrich’s presidential bid.
Adelson, is the chairman and chief executive officer of the Las Vegas Sands Corp., the parent company of The Venetian and The Palazzo, luxury resorts in Las Vegas.
In the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2012 Corporate Equality Index, the Las Vegas Sands earned a rating of zero. Information posted on the company’s website regarding its diversity initiatives makes no mention of sexual orientation or gender identity.
