Turkish Airlines, “Europe’s Best Airline,” is getting a boost at Dulles International Airport, upping its six weekly flights to Istanbul to seven with the addition of Saturday flights, effective March 31.
This is good news for Star Alliance loyalists heading across the Atlantic, as well as for anyone wanting an above-par flight experience. On the other hand, Turkish will be using Airbus 330 and 340 aircraft for the Dulles flights. The problem with that is Turkish Airlines’ new “Comfort Class” premium economy product is, so far, only on its Boeing 777 planes. With Comfort Class winning accolades – and every extra inch making a world of difference to the discerning LGBT traveler – it’s worth considering a Turkish flight out of JFK, where Turkish Airlines offers that Comfort Class 777.
