Singer performs ''Dive in the Pool'' at Capital Pride
Pepper Mashay performed a selection of her dance music songs at the 2012 Capital Pride Festival on Sunday, June 10. These included “I’ve Got My Pride” and her signature Barry Harris hit, “Dive in the Pool.”
With a little help from the DC Fire Department and a couple of queens, she did indeed have the large crowd soaking wet on a very hot day.
Standing in front of Mayor Vincent Gray and the U.S. Capitol building, Mashay said, “This has been an honor and a privilege to perform for all of you, in the lifetime of this President — President Obama! I had prayed for this day.”
