Size Matters: Samsung has 26 screen sizes compared to Apple’s 4

PC Magazine reports that Samsung has 26 — count ’em! — 26 different screen sizes, while Apple, a mere four. Writes Sascha Segan:

As the Apple-Samsung trial goes to the jury, both companies are plowing along with their plans for the holiday season. From Apple, we hear rumors of a new iPhone. From Samsung, we’re hearing rumors about a new, 5.5-inch Galaxy Note II and a 5.8-inch Galaxy Player.

That would mean Samsung would have phones and tablets currently on the U.S. market with the following screen sizes, rounded to the tenth of an inch: 1.5, 1.8, 1.9, 2, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.8, 3, 3.1, 3.2, 3.5, 3.7, 4, 4.3, 4.5, 4.7, 4.8, 5.0, 5.3, 5.5, 5.8, 7.0, 7.7, 8.9, and 10.1…

Apple, on the other hand, even with the rumored new iPhone and smaller iPad, is pretty much here: 3.5, 4, 7, 9.7. (I’m counting the iPod touch, but not the nano or classic.)

Gee, guess you could say there’s a perfect fit for everybody…
