The Inn at Little Washington tops on Zagat
The Inn at Little Washington announced that it was named tops in all categories of The Zagat Guide’s 2013 Washington DC/Baltimore Restaurant survey with a near perfect 29 out of 30 score for food, decor and service. The Guide sites The Inn’s creation of “a life-altering experience” for its guests.
“This is a wonderful acknowledgement of the hard work and dedication on the part of our staff during the past year,” said Chef and Proprietor Patrick O’Connell. “It’s especially heartwarming to know that almost 17,000 independent respondents rated The Inn at Little Washington as the top restaurant in the Metropolitan Washington DC area. This most recent accolade comes at a perfect time as it coincides with The Inn’s 35th Anniversary Celebrations beginning in January. We couldn’t ask for a more wonderful birthday present.”
The Inn has also been recognized in last two months as the longest tenured AAA Five Diamond Restaurant and as one of the top five resorts in the world for food and wine by Andrew Harper’s Hideaway. In addition, the restaurant’s wine list received the Wine Spectator Grand Award for the 17th consecutive year.
Chef O’Connell is an active supporter of the LGBT community. In 2011, he served as the Celebrity Chef Chair of the Chef’s Best fundraiser for Food & Friends.
