Same-sex wedding bells are ringing in Long Beach
Just days after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down Section 3 of the federal Defense of Marriage Act and California’s Proposition 8, Hotel Maya – a Doubletree by Hilton in Long Beach, Calif. – yesterday announced its new “All Love Is Equal” wedding packages in celebration of marriage equality returning to California.
Guests who book and hold their weddings between now and Tuesday, Dec. 31, with weddings occurring Sunday through Thursday, will receive the following complimentary amenities:
- Event self-parking for all wedding guests.
- Wine service with dinner featuring two bottles of house wine per table.
- Chiavari chairs, including choice of gold and silver chairs, along with a choice of black or white pads.
The 199-room resort at the water’s edge is an award-winning wedding location and favorite among wedding planners and guests, which features six settings including Jardin De Palmeras, The Esplanade and Playa at the Maya.
