Did actress Raven-Symone just come out?
Raven-Symonè, a former “Cosby Show” actress and psychic teen star of Disney’s “That’s So Raven,” posted a message on Twitter yesterday that excited many of her half-million followers:
I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you

Symonè has been the subject of public speculation about her sexual orientation for some time. More than a year ago, she tweeted this about the buzz that she might be gay:
My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I’m datings to know. I’m not one for a public display of my life.

According to E! News, she somewhat clarified her latest tweet with a statement that read:
“I was excited to hear today that more states legalized gay marriage. I, however am not currently getting married, but it is great to know I can now, should I wish to.”
Raven-Symonè, who says she is studying visual art at AAU, later followed up with her fans:
Thanks for all the love! What a day… Gotta go back to homework. Ttyl!

Now 27, Simonè has taken a somewhat lower profile in recent years. She played the lead role on the short-lived ABC Family series “State of Georgia,” and has done voiceover work for several animated projects. She also has transformed her physical appearance with a notable weight loss. In 2011, she told Wendy Williams that she had learned to let go of stress. In a more recent interview, Simonè said she wanted to be remembered as an actress who had brightened people’s day, and as someone who has always told the truth, or at least “bits and pieces until I’m ready, because I think that a lot of people try to make it more than it is. And it doesn’t need to be.”
