Dallas Pride cracks down on “indecent exposure”

“In accordance with the city of Dallas public nudity ordinance, parade participants must not expose genitalia, buttocks, or female breasts.”

In an effort to make Dallas Pride more family friendly, organizers are reminding citizens of the strict rules that govern the event, specifically those regarding nudity.

The Pride Parade rules continue, stating “In accordance with state of Texas obscenity law, sexual paraphernalia, real or simulated sex acts and genital or phallic representations are prohibited from the parade.”

For those attending this year’s Pride, just remember — no see-through underwear, visible erections or jousting with dildos. It’s uncertain if mimicking lightsaber battles with dildos is also prohibited, but err on the side of caution.

Dallas Pride is this Sunday, September 15th. Find out more at dallastavernguild.org.
