Film notes; Tim’s Vermeer, Amelie and Oscar-nominated shorts
Teller, of the comedy duo Penn & Teller, directs the documentary Tim’s Vermeer, co-produced by the duo’s Penn Jillette, which follows a Texas-based inventor who attempts to solve one of the greatest mysteries in all of art: How did 17th century Dutch master Johannes Vermeer manage to paint so photo-realistically 150 years before the invention of the camera?
