Wedding businesses should be required to serve gay couples

So say a majority of Americans in new poll

“A majority of Americans (61%) continue to believe that a business
providing wedding services to the public should be required to serve same-sex
couples, even if the business owner objects to same-sex marriage on religious
grounds.”

So finds a poll conducted by the First Amendment Center, which 1,006 individuals from across America. That figure is similar to a poll conducted last year, though FAC reports that, by a 3-to-1 margin, Americans believe religious freedoms which apply to individuals should also apply to corporations. A majority of Americans, 54 percent this time, further agreed that any religious group which receives government funding should provide healthcare benefits to same-sex partners of employees — regardless of the religious group’s personal stance on same-sex relationships.
