Two years ago, indefatigable local drag sensation Shi-Queeta Lee launched a drag show series at the Howard Theatre in which each show is built around a different theme, typically movie-based. To honor the second anniversary of A Drag Salute To The Divas, Lee and her troupe of exceptional female illusionists are upping their animated ante by tackling Disney. Their “Disney Twisted” show features its cast of characters recreating scenes from The Little Mermaid, Snow White, Cinderella and even this year’s Maleficent. This Sunday, Aug. 17, at 8 p.m. at The Howard Theatre, 620 T St. NW. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 day-of. Call 202-588-5595 or visit thehowardtheatre.com.
