PRESS: Has Vee’s fate been decided?
TOUSSAINT: I don’t know. That’s an interesting question that I actually meant to ask [Jenji] before we did this interview. Yes, she’s dead. She’s dead.
PRESS: Is she, though?
TOUSSAINT: Is she, though? Exactly.
PRESS: This season was heavy on Vee, and I loved it. I kind of want more.
TOUSSAINT: I think she burns so hot and so fast. I wouldn’t know where to go with this character. I don’t know. But certainly, a lot of the fans are not wanting her dead. It’s interesting. Love her, hate her, hate that you love her.
MULGREW: Well, I mean, it’s all a tribute to the way you played it, Lorraine. A lesser actress wouldn’t have, it’s powerful, a powerful performance. Psychopathy is fascinating, right?
TOUSSAINT: Yeah.
MULGREW: There’s a lot of it in prison. But it’s exemplified in this character, and there’s nothing more charismatic than a psychopath on the loose. Especially paired against somebody who’s very strong among young girls who are so vulnerable. It’s captivating and frightening.
