Writer/director Daniel Ribeiro’s The Way He Looks was an audience favorite at the two biggest LGBT film festivals, San Francisco’s Frameline and Los Angeles’s OutFest, among many others. This Brazilian film, in Portuguese with English subtitles, sure sounds like an appealing, must-see film: A coming-of-age tale about a blind teenager who falls for the new kid in town, much to the jealous dismay of his female best friend. The film has been selected as Brazil’s entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category at next year’s Oscars. Opens Friday, Nov. 7, for a one-week run. Landmark’s E Street Cinema, 555 11th St. NW.
