Despite five Supreme Court justices arguing otherwise, conservatives are still unwilling to accept that same-sex marriage is now legal and supported by a majority of Americans.

In an interview with conservative website WND, Michael Brown, president of FIRE School of Ministry and host of radio show The Line of Fire, slammed “gay activism” and promised that opponents of marriage equality were “here for the long haul.” Brown is currently promoting his new book Outlasting the Gay Revolution.

“We’re not backing down, we’re not bowing down, we’re not caving in, we’re not quitting,” Brown stated, adding that conservatives need to outlast the “‘gay’ revolution.”

“If Jesus doesn’t come first, I believe the tide will turn,” he continued. “I believe that gay activism will continue to defeat itself, it will continue to bring awakening and consolidation among Christians, and that we will literally see a Gospel-based moral and cultural revolution in America.”

Brown believes that “homosexual activists” are trying to force people to conform to their agenda, are opposed to the church, and that they won’t be satisfied “until the church capitulates.”

“They will not be satisfied until the church does not have government protection for its views, and they will not be satisfied until Mordecai bows down,” Brown said. “I am here to proclaim that Mordecai will not bow.”

Brown previously authored Can You Be Gay and Christian? Responding With Love and Truth to Questions About Homosexuality, which aims to provide “practical guidelines for ministry and shows readers how they can resist the gay agenda while reaching out to their gay friends and family.”
