On Saturday, June 30, after more than a decade of providing the D.C. LGBTQ community an unparalleled nightlife experience, Town Danceboutique held its closing night party. Doors opened at 9 p.m., and the club shuttered around 6 a.m. at the break of dawn.
Downstairs, the Ladies of Town took the stage for one final raucous and emotional drag show, while upstairs DJ Ed Bailey kept the crowd thunderstruck, in a perpetual state of dancing bliss.
Metro Weekly photographers Ward Morrison and Randy Shulman were there to capture it all, from start to finish. The images below are culled from the July 5 print edition.
