Man sues ex-friend over fake gay Facebook profile

It was the gross invasion of his privacy, namely having his personal details, including false details concerning his sexuality, laid bare for all to see that caused him the most distress.”

Lorna Skinner, a lawyer for Mathew Firsht, who claims a fake Facebook UK profile was posted for 16 days by his former friend Grant Raphael. Firsht is suing for libel and misuse of private information. Among the allegations were claims that the profile stated that Firsht had financial troubles and lied about debt, and that he was a member of the online groups ”Gay in the Wood… Borehamwood” and ”Gay Jews in London.” (This is London)
