Stephen Gately, gay singer of UK band, Boyzone, dies at 33 [video]

Statement from members of the UK pop band Boyzone who have just lost one of their own, Stephen Gately. In the 1990s, Boyzone had several hits and Gately made headlines when he when he came out as gay 10 years ago in The Sun newspaper. No official cause of death has been determined yet, but the Sun reports he and his long-time partner Andy Cowles had been drinking while on vacation in Majorca with a Belgian man they’d recently met.
