The nominees for the 2023 Emmy Awards, the most prestigious prize in TV, have been unveiled.

It should come as no real shock to anyone plugged into what’s happening on the small screen that Succession leads the charge with the most nods, with an incredible 27.

Not far behind comes The Last of Us, which earned 24 chances to win some gold from its first season.

Coming in a very close third place is the latest iteration of The White Lotus, with 23 nominations.

The top categories, Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Comedy Series, are stacked with eight nominated programs each, and they’re filled with critical and commercial successes that captivated audiences worldwide.

There are plenty of familiar titles and a handful of newcomers, such as Andor, Jury Duty, and Wednesday.

Voting among TV insiders begins in August, and the 2023 Emmys will air live on Fox on September 18 at 8:00 PM EST.
