Dopey Pope alludes gay marriage threatens Creation

I am thinking, for example, of certain countries in Europe or North and South America.”
Quote from Reuters article in which Pope Benedict, as part of a meeting with diplomats on environmental and world issues, again lashed out at gay marriage from his throne of distortions. As is noted in the article, Mexico City and Argentina have moved toward gay marriage legalization over the last few weeks, as has our own Nation’s Capital. Joseph Ratzinger, a/k/a Pope Benedict, has consistently made pronouncements against homosexuality and gay relationships. (Reuters)
The US Conference of Catholic Bishops recently issued a ridiculous statement that said all homosexuals should remain celibate and engage in nothing more intimate than platonic friendship. And here in DC, the Catholic Archdiocese of Washington has been hit with a backlash of bad publicity after its leaders threatened to pull its publicly funded services from the area’s needy. They have repeatedly demanded that their nonprofit, Catholic Charities, must be given an absolute exemption to deny its married gay employees the same family health benefits it provides heterosexuals, which is in direct violation of the city’s human rights ordinances regarding use of public funds. On the one hand, the Archdiocese cries about religious freedom, then they puff on about their opposition to gay marriage being passed by the city government, period. They too have argued in public testimony that children do better with male-female parents — a claim that is not supported by scientific sociological studies. Their decidedly political maneuverings are seen by some as an extension of Vatican policy and Ratzinger’s socially conservative, and rather bizarre, belief system that, because gays can get married, the world’s 6 billion heterosexuals are suddenly going to stop producing enough children to populate the planet.
