Actor Daniel Radcliffe continues to stand up for gay, bi, trans youth [video]

”I grew up knowing a lot of gay men. It was never something that I even thought twice about — some men were gay and some weren’t…. The fact that I’m straight makes — not a difference — but just the fact that it shows, actually, straight people are incredibly interested in and care about this, as well. And you don’t have to be gay to take an interest…. This is the thing I’m probably most passionate about.”

Daniel Radcliffe, stage and screen actor best known to the world as “Harry Potter,” speaking with the Associated Press about his support for the Trevor Project, an American organization that runs a national hotline for gay youth at risk of suicide. Most interested parties agree that LGBT youth do attempt suicide at a somewhat higher rate than their heterosexual peers. (AP) (Trevor Project)
