Ricky Martin reveals he is gay and proud
”These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and reminded me that acceptance has to come from within and that this kind of truth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn’t even know existed.

The former member of ’80s boy band Menudo became a Latin American pop star, but became a world-famous performer in the late 1990s with an English crossover album that included ”Livin’ La Vida Loca.” Rumors have long swirled about his sexuality, and with this personal message many people in the gay community are happy hear his revelation, though few are saying they are surprised.
