”Many psychologists, many psychiatrists have demonstrated there exists no relationship between celibacy and pedophilia. But many others have demonstrated, and have told me recently, that there is a link between homosexuality and pedophilia. This is true, this is the problem.”

Many voices have criticized the Catholic Church‘s mandate of celibacy for priests as both unnatural and non-Biblically-based, and theorized that sexual repression is the likely reason why the Church has been plagued for decades with child-molesting priests. Pope (Ratzinger) Benedict has been linked recently by some media reports to allegations of a system-wide cover up. Sadly, the child sex scandals unearthed in the US years ago are now coming to the fore in many other countries like Ireland and Germany, and the Church’s defenders appear to be increasingly blaming gays, Jews, and others instead of their own leadership.
Tarcisio’s allegations are disgustingly similar to statements being made by Bill Donohue, head of the Catholic League, who also astounded many people recently when he told viewers of CNN that the child sex cases involve post-pubescent adolescents (“12 , 13”) which moves the discussion away from “pedophilia” and into “homosexuality.”
”It’s not a pedophilia — most of the victims are post-pubescent…. The vast majority of victims are post-pubescent. That’s not pedophilia, buddy, that’s homosexuality…. Post-pubescent means beyond puberty. Okay? In other words, you’re an adolescent. And that’s what homosexuals do. And most of the molesters have been homosexuals in the Catholic Church…. 12, 13 years of age.”
Bill Donohue, head of the overly referenced, attack-dog organization calling itself the Catholic League. He was taking part in a discussion with Larry King about sexual misconduct by Catholic priests around the world. Donohue says here from one side of his mouth that homosexuals molest children, then when questioned about his ridiculous statement, he seems to deny what he had just said. (Larry King via MoxNews)
