Washington Ballet’s Nutcracker closes this Sunday

Nutcracker

Seven years ago, The Washington Ballet’s Septime Webre refashioned The Nutcracker to be a tribute to the nation’s capital, starring George Washington as the heroic Nutcracker and England’s King George III as the villainous Rat King, all against a backdrop of cherry blossoms and other D.C. scenes. The lavish production includes over 350 dancers. Closes this Sunday, Dec. 26, so hurry, otherwise you’ll have to wait a whole year. Warner Theatre, 513 13th St. NW. Tickets are $43.20 to $106.
