Donald Trump says he’s against gay marriage
”I’m probably as conservative as anybody on your show, and that’s going a pretty strong step. I’m Republican, a very conservative Republican. I believe strongly in just about all conservative principles, just about…. I’m not in favor of gay marriage…. No. I’m just not in favor of gay marriage. I live in New York. New York is a place with lots of gays, and I think it is great. But I’m not in favor of gay marriage.”

In 2009, he was caught in one of the most controversial aspects of the gay marriage debate. Trump owns the Miss USA beauty pageant, and one conservative Christian contestant, Carrie Prejean, said that she believed that marriage should remain between a man and a woman only.
At first, Trump backed Prejean’s right to express her anti-gay marriage views adding that she had said “the same answer that [Obama] the President of the United States gave.” He later fired Prejean for not sticking to her contractural obligations. Prejean then embarked on a national campaign against gay marriage, wrote a book, and appeared at numerous conservative speaking engagements. In the end, she tried to sue the pageant, but allegedly settled out of court because of a widely publicized sex tape scandal.
Perhaps Trump should know something about being married since he’s currently on his third wife.
