Facebook bans photo of gay kiss: Social juggernaut apologizes for error
”Content that you shared on Facebook has been removed because it violated Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities. Shares that contain nudity, or any kind of graphic or sexually suggestive content, are not permitted on Facebook.”
A message received by a blogger at DangerousMinds.net who says that a photo he posted of two fully-clothed men kissing was removed by Facebook. The photo reportedly appeared on Facebook as part of a group event that called for a kiss-in at a London pub where two gay men on a date were removed for sharing a kiss last week. (DangerousMinds)
Another gay blogger John Aravosis says he received the following statement from Facebook (AmericaBlog Gay):
”The photo in question does not violate our Statement of Rights and Responsibilities and was removed in error. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
