DAY 4
My last day in Las Vegas came too quickly; however, I was determined to make the most of the few hours I had available before my flight home.
Keeping with my routine, I heading to Qua at Caesars Palace. To simply call this a spa is an understatement. Qua is an amazing retreat where all the pressures of everyday life are left at the check-in desk. Among its many offerings are three pools (a large mineral-enriched bath, and smaller hot soaking bath and cold plunge bath), an ultra-heated sauna and a unique “Arctic Ice Room” with actually falling snow. There is also a state-of-the-art fitness center and more than 50 treatment rooms.
For my treatment, I was inspired by Lady Gaga and elected the “Poker Face” facial. When my therapist was done with all the scrubbing, cleansing, moisturizing and massaging, I felt a decade younger (much closer to my online age) and my skin looked fab.
After spending a few hours taking advantage of all the amenities at Qua, I was starving. And since it was my last day in Sin City and I believe there is some rule about all visitors being required to have at least one buffet during their stay in Vegas, I figured that The Buffet at the Monte Carlo was the perfect choice for lunch. For less than $12, I was treated to an expansive salad bar, freshly made pasta, prepared-to-order steaks and dozens of other items to help ensure a complete food coma.
After lunch it was off to the airport with a little less money in my bank account but a whole bunch of great memories.
