The Center, D.C.’s LGBT community center, and Tongue in Your Ear present a multi-part series led by Regie Cabico of HBO’s Def Poetry Jam and designed to help queer-identified men with writing and editing poetry. The workshops will examine works of poets with ties to D.C., including Essex Hemphill and Michael Lally, as well as spoken-word artists. Thursdays from 7 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 6 and Oct. 13.
