Secretary Clinton meets with LGBT coalition in Uganda

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, speaking Friday in Kampala, Uganda, to the nation’s Civil Society Coalition on Human Rights and Constitutional Law, which formed to combat the so-called “Kill the Gays” bill, which has resurfaced a number of times since 2009 in the Ugandan Parliament, though it has not been passed. Clinton spoke to the coalition as she presented the group with the State Department’s 2011 Human Rights Defender Award. (Reuters)
