The Concerned DC Providers Coalition, a group committed to improving the health of ”young transgender women of color and men of color who have sex with men,” has opened the registration for a one-day conference, ”Building Community Among LGBTQ Youth and Allies.”
The conference, running from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14, is intended to serve as a gathering for affected youth, social-service and health-care providers, and community partners. Topics to be addressed include spirituality, transgender issues and mental health. Registration for the conference, to be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 400 I St. SW, is free.
