Grindr CEO: We’re proud to help people in countries where it’s illegal to be gay

“Grindr in a lot of places is the unique place for gay men to meet each other. There’s no gay bars, there’s no gay life. We’re very proud of that.”

“We provide a great service, and that’s what it’s all about,” Simkhai said. “We’re all about our customers, all about giving them an experience that’s helpful for them, and we solve a problem.”

In future, Simkhai sees the app as becoming a “lifestyle brand” to help “solve gay men’s problems. There’s a lot of other problems we can solve.”
