DJ Steve Henderson returns to spin between acts on the Main stage this year. Henderson now resides in Chicago -- but is well known in all markets. Steve spins for special events everywhere, including D.C.'s new Ziegfeld's/Secrets Nightclub! (Spinning All Day)


If there was ever a defition of the word Pioneer, Jo Arnone's name is what you would see. She comes to us from Queens New York and began her long association with Pride by marching in the 8th commemoration of the Stonewall riots in 1978. Numerous awards don't even begin to describe the passion she has for the community and she will lend her voice as a Capital Pride Emcee for the second straight year.

Destiny B. Childs, not only can she Emcee like a pro -- but as the master behind ''Freddies Follies'' and a fierce competitor in the Atlantic States Gay Rodeo Association, she gives a whole new definition to the term ''Cowboy up.

Derrick Hartley and Romaine Patterson are the fun, witty and candid hosts of Derek and Romaine, the GLAAD Award-winning talk show on Sirius XM Radio. Both widely known within the GLBT community, they have brought new life to their craft!


Thomasina and the Jam is a newly formed lesbian alternative rock band, with lead singer Mara Levi who is no stranger to the DC Pride circuit!

Blair Michaels, a member of the ''Ladies of Town," is not only a legend in the drag community but she also happends to be a 2009 Capital Pride Hero! For the last 25 years, she has graced many stages in the DC area and left a mark in the hearts of many.

DC Gurly Show ft/ DC Kings is bringing the art of tease back to one of the most powerful cities in the world!

OH My Josh's music is pop dance and electro mixed into one, Joshua Michael's high energy vocals come direct from New York City!


Dr. Spite is a brand new artist ready to take on Capital Pride! Beware, be aware, and be ready for the Hip Hop stylings of Dr. Spite!

Dakshina/Daniel Phoenix Singh & Company is an emerging dance company focused on infusing the Indian dance form with modern dance styles. A style that's sure to transcend boundaries, cultures and time!

Sarah Bettens is no stranger to the community and continues to break ground with new music and a new energy. Sarah has made a name for herself as a major headliner throughout the world!

Honey Chuck rocks pretty hard for a band with a girl and an acoustic guitar in it. A four-piece alternative rock band hailing from our area full of passion for honest song writing!

Kristina Kelly, aka Miss Capital Pride 2008, has been a well known powerhouse in the art of female impersonation for the last 12 years! For Kristina, a title is not just something people know you by, it's a lifestyle!

Sister Funk is a all female band out of New Haven, Ct. who for the past eight years has ignited stages and captivated audiences with their high energy shows! Sister Funk's music is best described as commercial pop with an upbeat, dance feel!


Mama B from NYC has a powerhouse of a voice that includes everything from pop and rock to Broadway and Opera to Gospel and R&B.

Freddie's Follies is the team from Freddie's Beach Bar featuring local drag favorite, Destiny B. Childs!

Xavier Onasis Bloomingdale is the Friday night leading lady of Ziegfeld's. This female entertainer has been awing audiences for decades, and returns in a grand fashion!

E-Cleff formerly performed with the DC Drag Kings and ROCKETT, but now this male impersonator has his own group The Bad Boys. The popular performer energizes everyone in the crowd, but "it's always for the ladies!"

Ladies of Town and X-Faction is an energetic Washington-based Drag/dance troupe that in the last year has been busier than ever, performing twice a week at Town!

DC Cowboys is a cowboy boot-wearing dance troupe that kicks up a choreographed Broadway-tinged, country-western storm. But it's their often-shirtless performances and suggestive moves that really get the crowd swooning!

Ella Fitzgerald is always crass, always funny and always soul-stirring, and the peacock-inspired drag queen proves that sometimes the smallest big mouth in town can indeed impart the biggest treasure. A legend in the Washington, DC area!

Gay Men's Chorus of Washington, D.C. is regarded as one of the finest gay men's chorus in the country as well as one of Washington's best choral groups. The Chorus is a local social institution that often takes a cheeky approach to its choral repertoire, and extravagantly dresses the part!


The Maryland-based all-lesbian band Odd Girl Out makes eminently tuneful music, the likes of which you don't hear everyday from an all-lesbian band with a serious passion for rock in the mold of Green Day or Heart!

Lori Michaels brings her New York-based Me & The Girls song and dance troupe to perform her heavily syncopated dance-pop with equal appeal to gay men and lesbians. She hasn't been dubbed "the Dyke Diva" for nothing!

Vanessa Conde has been heard in every nightclub across the world, her big bold voice and nightclub anthems are a staple Vanessa's voice has no limitations performing Italian arias and operatic roles! She'll also be performing at the Parade on Saturday evening.

The queen diva of dance music, Martha Wash is often sampled, but never mistaken. She is the voice of C&C Music Factory, Blackbox, Seduction, and the The Weather Girls. Its gonna start raining men!

RuPaul is the reigning supermodel of the world since the early 90's. Host of Logo's RuPaul's Drag Race, and recording artist. RuPaul headlines this years Capital Pride!
