Openly gay singer-songwriter Tom Goss gave a rich, stirring performance of "Who We Are" at the Human Rights Campaign's rally for repeal of ''Don't Ask, Don't Tell'' Thursday, March 18. Written and recorded with fellow gay musician Matt Alber, the song was penned for servicemembers discharged under the current "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy or currently serving in silence.

"Matt Alber and I were on tour in February, when the news about [DADT] was most heavy," Goss writes on his website. "[W]e met with some discharged servicemembers, heard their stories and wrote a song about it."

A version of the song, recorded by Alber and Goss, is available as a free download.
